General Weapons Skills

The Weapon Skill Maneuvers listed below are available regardless of their Weapon Class or Type as long as the Weapon has the pre-requisites tags listed in the Requires section of the Maneuver.

Range Weapon Options

  • The following needs to be converted into Talents Available from the more military Corps.

Burst Fire as Single

You may perform this attack only with a weapon capable of burst fire (like an assault rifle) by switching it to single fire. The weapon then fires only one shot instead of a burst; it is primarily used to conserve ammunition.

Cost: 1 Skill point
Maneuver Cost: 1 Action to switch the weapon over and check it's configuration.
Requires: Full Auto. Duration: Until you switch it back to Burst Fire, Costs 1 Energy to switch back. Effect: You gain a Double Bane to damage (minimum 1) but can increase your shots by 3 before reloading.

Spray and Pray

When subtlety’s out the airlock and precision’s for chumps, you just squeeze the trigger and let the gods sort the brass.

Spray and Pray is a Maneuver available only to weapons with fully automatic fire (some assault rifles, submachine guns, and machine guns have the Full Auto Tag). Instead of targeting a single foe, the attacker unleashes a suppressive storm of fire in a 45° cone directly in front of them, potentially hitting multiple targets within range.

Spray and Pray is loud, wild, and messy—great for crowd control, panic, or flushing out enemies behind partial cover.

Cost: 2 Skill point
Maneuver Cost: 2 Actions. Requires: Full Auto. Duration: Until the Maneuver ends. Effect: You are Fixated on covering an area with suppressive fire. Target and Area up to a 45-degree cone (GM discretion or template, up to weapon’s short range).

  • Roll Once to Hit: Roll a single attack roll versus the Defense of every target in the cone.
  • Roll weapon damage once with a Bane (Min 1) and apply to all targets hit.
  • Attacker can be behind up to 50% cover at most.
  • Consumes triple normal shots for the weapon.

Multi Shot at Single

When you’re locked in and just want one target very dead, this Maneuver lets you focus your fire into a concentrated barrage against a single foe.

The character fires a weapon several times in a round at the same target. The most common example is when someone fires a pistol several times in a row at the same target. Characters may use this option only when a weapon automatically reloads itself after firing a single shot or when it is fairly easy to ready it for firing again (such as a .45 automatic, which puts a new shell in the slide as soon as the first one clears the barrel). This Maneuver increases the character’s chance to hit a target with each successive shot.

Cost: 2 Skill point
Maneuver Cost: 1 Action to Aim. Requires: A weapon capable of firing multiple shots in a Turn and Targeting a single target (e.g. semi-auto, burst fire). Duration: Until the Maneuver ends. Effect: You are Fixated on the Target. You continually fire at the same target until you move or take an action that is not firing at the target. You gain a consecutive Boon to Hit for each shot taken. i.e +1d4 (first shot), +1d6 (second shot), +1d8 (3rd shot).
