Your role starts as a solo operative, tackling assignments that test your abilities and strategic thinking. These early missions come from your local Bulwark, a hub for experienced mercenaries and Special Operations Forces (SOF) who might also seek your assistance.
Your journey at MERCS is about growth, learning, and greed. Through these initial tasks, you'll understand the importance of trust and teamwork. Reaching Rank 5 is a significant milestone in your career. At this stage, you either lead your own company, a tight-knit group of comrades you trust, or you become part of an existing squad, elevating it to a Bulwark. This advancement opens up more complex missions from the local Garrison, reflecting your increased responsibility and skill. More importantly, it will open up more opportunities for lucrative contracts, Reputation, and CREDS.
In your role, attention to detail and adherence to plans are crucial. Should a mission not go as expected, a Garrison Tribunal will review the operation. This process is more than a simple debrief; it's an opportunity to learn and improve from each experience.
