The Karani withstood the destruction of their sun and rebuilt their homeworld, those Karani who fled thousands of years before are now known as Junkers. Humans refer to them as Dopplers as they look strikingly similar to creatures from the Humans mythology, so much so that historians suspect an early Junker ship may have crash-landed on ancient earth.
