Whoa, well hold on there skipper, that’s not how this works. Heres a quick rundown of the rules.
All players start with a human character. (don't worry it's not that bad.)
In Cybercore, characters may earn Ranks as they complete operations.
You cannot just “charge in all guns blazing” to ‘remove’ your current Tier One character if it’s the character with the Origin Tag. You have to move him up to at least the next Tier before you can hand in and use that Tag to create a new character. If he or she is splattered by a Urquan Vibro blade, then all his or her Tags are lost. Tags belong with the character, not the player. You can read up more on Tags here. (TODO-)
So tread carefully, if you lose that shiny new Bohec Origin Tag then no shiny new Alien race for you…
Also, you cannot earn a Origin Tag for the Origin you are currently playing.
Yea, we did put a lot of the Origin Tags in Tier One, we are bastards that way.
Each Origin starts with some basic stats, you will improve these by picking up Origin feats, Skill Tricks or Legacy Knacks. These combined will make you an exemplar of your race soon enough.
Stats are not connected to skills in Cybercore. Instead they are used for Basic Checks, Saving Throws and where the GM allows a Basic check in place of a Skill Check in certain circumstances, however these untrained Skill Checks are rolled with disadvantage.

But Why… why did you do this??
Well, One we are bastards, and two, if you have played any sort of “League” type games before, you notice a massive amount of lower level play and large tumbleweeds at the higher ends. In order to ensure everyone gets to enjoy all levels of play (and because we are lazy), you will note we have 10 ranks, not 20 ‘levels’, and Three not four tiers of play. you will move up through the Tiers and ranks pretty fast. You can check out a table of level progression here. In the meantime, here’s a list of what we hope to achieve.
The way Unicore species perceive the world varies significantly, creating a rich tapestry of sensory experiences. While most races share the basic five senses known to humans, their acuity and scope can differ greatly. Some possess heightened sensitivity or attunement to specific senses, offering them unique perspectives on their surroundings. Moreover, certain races boast advanced sensory organs that eclipse human capabilities, enabling them to interact and sense their environment in extraordinary ways.
The table below outlines these differences in sensory perception across various races, from the refined hearing of the Boehec to the specialized 360-degree vision of the Om. It's important to note that these sensory abilities play a crucial role in gameplay. Utilizing a sense involves an opposing d100 roll against the target, with bonuses applied based on the quality of the sense and any additional equipment bonuses. The various senses highlight the races' diversity and introduces a strategic element to encounters and exploration.
